      Will of David WATSON made on 13 November 1772:
      In the Name of God Amen I David WATSON of Whapload in the County of Lincoln Innholder being something indisposed in Body but of sound Mind Memory and Understanding for which I thank the Almighty Being do make this my last Will and Testament in manner & form following
      First I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Dear & Loving Wife Susannah WATSON All that my Copyhold Estate wherein I now dwell holden of the Manor of Whapload Abbots with the Rights Members & Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in Whapload aforesaid together with all and every my Personal Estate of what Nature or kind soever the same shall or may consist of at the time of my Decease To hold the same Real and Personal Estates unto my said Dear & Loving Wife Susannah WATSON for and during the term of her Natural Life and from & immediately after the Decease I Give Devise & Bequeath the same Real & Personal Estates and every part thereof with their respective Appurtenances unto my Grandaughter Ann WATSON To hold to my said Grandaughter Ann WATSON her heirs and Assigns for Ever But in case my said Grandaughter Ann WATSON shall depart this Life before she shall attain the Age of twenty One years without Lawfull Issue living at her Death or born a reaseassonable time afterwards Then I Give Devise & Bequeath the same Real & Personal Estates unto my son John WATSON her Father To hold to him his heirs and Assigns for Ever Also I Give and Bequeath to my Grandson John WATSON the Sum of Five Pounds o of Lawfull Money of Great Britain Also to my Grandaughter Susannah WATSON the like Sum of Five Pounds Also to Mary WATSON my Grandaughter the like Sum of Five Pounds to be paid into the hands of my said son John WATSON within Six Months a afteter my Decease to be put out at Interest to and for their Use and Benefit & to be paid to them as & when they shall severally Arrive to their Respective Ages of twenty One years And I do hereby appoint my said Son John WATSON Guardian for my saiid Grandchildren & Wife Susannah WATSON Executrix of this my Will she paying my just debts the abovesaid Legacies & Funeral Expences And I do Revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made & Declare this alone my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I the said David WATSON have to this my said last Will set my hand & Seal this thirteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & Seventy two
