A marriage of wide interest here took place in Racine Thursday afternoon at 4'oclock when Miss Elinor May GITTINGS, formerly a librarian at the Gilbert M. SIMMONS' library, became the bride of George William STARKEY of Los Angeles, Calif.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. John GITTINGS, 39 Lake View Terrace, Racine. The ceremony took place at her home with Dr. HOGAN officiating, and only the immediate relatives in attendence.
Immediately after the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. STARKEY motored to Los Angeles, where they will make their home at 1106 Windsor boulevard. Mr. STARKEY is a commercial artist."

At the home of Mrs. John JONES, 39 Lake View Terrace, an aunt of the bride, Miss Elinor GITTINGS, daughter of Mrs. John T. GITTINGS, 39 Lake View Terrrace, and George W. STARKEY of Los Angeles, Calif., son of Mrs. Charles STARKEY, were unitn marriage on Thursday afternoon at 4 oclock.
Autumn flowers decorated the home. Only immediate relatives were present for the ceremony, at which the Rev. HARDING R. HOGAN officiated. Blue velvet was worn by the bride, who was unattended.
Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. STARKEY left by motor for Los Angeles, where they will be at home after Nov. 1 at 1106 Windsor boulevard. The bride has been connected with the Kenosha library, and Mr. STARKEY is a commerciatist.
Mrs. Charles STARKEY of Los Angeles was an out of town guest at the wedding."

"MRS: ELINOR STARKEY, FORMERLY OF COUNTY, DIES IN LOS ANGELES
Racine relatives Friday learned of the death Thursday of Mrs. Elinor STARKEY, 32, in Los Angeles.
Mrs. STARKEY was born in Union Grove May 2, 1904, daughter of John and Arnestine GITTINGS. She was married in Racine Sept. 28, 1933, to George STARKEY of Los Angeles.
Beside her husband, she is survived by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann; one brother, John Halbert GITTINGS, and mother, Mrs. Stella GITTINGS.
Funeral services will be held in the First Congregational church at Los Angeles at 1 p.m. today. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery."
