  BARRIE STANTON WICKS 1912-1982 Barry Stanton WICKS was born at 46 Farringdon Road, Plymouth, Devon, on 8 January 1912, son of Stanton Thomas Stanley WICKS, a musician in the Royal Marine Light Infantry, and his wife Mabel Evelyn WICKS formerly WILLCOCKS. (GRO September Q 1912 Plymouth 5b 399) He was baptised in the Church of St. Simon, Plymouth, Devon, on 3 April 1912. (Findmypast: Devon Baptisms) He was a musician. The Navy Lists from 1942 record that Barry Stanton WICKS of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve received a temporary commission as Lieutenant on 26 September, presumably for the duration of the war. His second marriage was to an Austrian woman named Helga ROSEN whom he married in Hamburg, Germany, in 1949. She was born in Vienna on 6 July 1924.
