  WILLIAM REDIN STANTON 1813-1862 Mr. William Redin STANTON (formerly of Grove House School, Wisbech St. Mary), father of the Rev. W. R. STANTON, B.D., rector of West Deeping, and of Mr. Jas. West STANTON, M.A., the present headmaster, founded Wisbech Barton School. Mr. STANTON senior died in 1862 ('History of Wisbech & Neighbourhood' by F. J. Gardiner 1898 page 236).
