      He was baptised at Guilden Morden, Cambridgeshire, on 6 July 1829, but as he was 23 at the time of the 1851 census he was born in 1827 or 1828.

      The marriage between Robert LEETE and Emma CHARTER was registered in 1850.

      According to the 1851 census of Church End, Guilden Morden, he was a 23 year old rat catcher born at Guilden Morden. His wife Emma was also 23 years old and worked as a straw platter. She was born at Steeple Morden (HO107/1707/568A).

      According to Judy Bender Moyna (jmoyna@alpinecom.net) on Worldconnect.rootsweb.com he and his wife emigrated to the USA in 1853. He died in 1909 and was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga, Clayton County, Iowa.

      He and his wife are rumoured to have had several children.
