      According to the Cambridgeshire Baptism Index 1801-1837 he was born at Upwell, Norfolk, in 1830.

      The 1851 census for Holbeach Bank lists him as a 21 year old journeyman miller, working for JOHN WATSON, a 30 year old Holbeach born miller and baker. Also in the household were:

      "This is the last Will and Testament of me Henry James HORRY of Holbeach in the County of Lincoln Baker Whereby I direct all my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expences to be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named I give devise and bequeaeath all my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my dear Wife Judith Lewin HORRY to and for her absolute use and benefit and I appoint the said Judith Lewin HORRY sole Executrix of this my Will and hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Fourteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven

      Signed and declared by the said Henry James HORRY the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses
