He was 39 years old. Ruth EDGOOSE gave Kenwyn as her address. The Bishop's wife Mary BENSON and her daughters Mary Eleanor and Margaret BENSON were witnesses. Other witnesses were Charlotte CAVE and ALBERT Kneebone.

George Thomas WICKS, a master bookbinder, died at 10 Mitchell Hill Terrace, Truro, on 14 December 1898 aged 56. The informant was George Charles Wicks, his son, of the same address, present at the death.

Will of George Thomas WICKS made 16 September 1887:
"This is the last Will and Testament of me George Thomas WICKS of the City of Truro in the County of Cornwall Bookbinder I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and satisfied by my Executrix hereinafter named aas soon as conveniently may be after my decease I Give and bequeath to my son George Charles WICKS my best violin with the bow and Case belonging to the same I Give and bequeath to my son Stanton Thomas Stanley WICKS my Watch and Chain. All thhe rest residue and a remainder of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal and whether in possession or reversion remainder or expectancy I Give and devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Ruth WICKS for her own sole use benefit and disposal absolutely But it is my wish that my said Wife shall carry on my business so long as she feels inclined so to do and when at any time my said dear Wife Ruth WICKS shall be desirous of disposing of my business as a Booookbinder or of any of my Musical Instruments or Manuscript and printed music my aforesaid son George Charles WICKS shall have the first opportunity of purchasing the same at such price and on such terms as my said dear Wife Ruth WICKS shall namame or deem sufficient and in default of his so doing my said dear Wife Ruth WICKS shall deal with the same in any way or manner whatsoever that to her may seem expedient And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said dear Wife Ruth WICKCKS to be sole Executrix of this my Will and hereby revoking all former and other Wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I the said George Thomas WICKS have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this sixteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.
