      NOTES & QUERIES
A welcome addition from a grandson of Nora Crosby (1876-1936):
"It is with great delight that I came across your web site while looking for information about my grandmother. Recently my brother asked if either myself or my sister knew what our Nanny's (grandmother) mother's name was. Neither of us knew. I began searching the immigration records at the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island web site for information on my mother and grandparents. My grandmother was listed on the ship's manifest as Nora C.W. Logan (nee Mitchell). Neither I, nor my brother or sister knew what the "C. W." stood for. A search for "Nora C.W. Mitchell Penicuik, Scotland" led me to your web site and Nora Crosby, my great grandmother."
My maternal grandfather was John Diver Logan (1904-1998), son of Mary Logan (nee Diver, 1882-1948) and John F. Logan (dates unknown). He married Nora C.W. Mitchell (1903-1985) and together they had one child, my mother, Nora Diver Logan
(4/24/1928-12/17/2011. My grandparents immigrated to the United States in 1929 while my mother remained in Scotland until 1936. My grandparents lived in Brooklyn, NY until their passing. My mother, Nora, married Henry Paul Lenzxcki (orig. "Lenczycki")
(04/24/1925- 10/04/2013) and together they had four children [only one of whom can be mentioned] Donna Jean (Lenzycki) O'Reilly (1953-2013). I can not thank you enough for the work you have done and your willingness to share it. God bless - John Lenzycki."
