The birth of an Eliza CROSS was registered in 1841.

Eliza, daughter of Daniel CROSS cordwainer and his wife Anne, was baptised at St. Botolph, Boston, Lincolnshire, on 13 April 1841.
The birth of another Eliza CROSS was registered in 1842.

No trace of this baptism has yet been found.
If she were 31 when she died in December 1873 it is likely that the registration in 1842 refers to her.
James CRAFT married Eliza CROSS in 1860.

In the 1861 census of Algarkirk Fen, Lincolnshire, John CRAFT was described as a 49 year old farmer of 9 acres. With him was his wife Elizabeth aged 46 and 20 year old unmarried son John.
Next door was James CRAFT aged 22 with his 19 year old wife Eliza and a 5 month old daughter Elizabeth Anne born at Carrington, Lincolnshire (RG9/2340/81).
An ELIZA CRAFT aged 31 died in 1873, almost certainly the wife of JAMES.
