    Jessie Alice EDGOOSE died at 7 Lerowe Road, Wisbech, on 10 November 1956 aged 68. She was described as a spinster and a retired domestic housekeeper, the daughter of Stanton John EDGOOSE, farmer (deceased). The informant was her sister B. J. CURTIS, in attendance, of Main Road, Friday Bridge. Cause of death: 1a Congestive Heart Failure; 1b Valvular Disease of the Heart; 1c Chronic Rheumatism.

    She was buried on 14 November in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Wisbech.

    "This is the last Will of me Jessie Alice EDGOOSE of 7 Lerowe Road Wisbech in the County of Cambridge Spinster
    1. I HEREBY REVOKE all Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me
    2. I APPOINT Outram David Guy BARR of 1 York Road Wisbech aforesaid Solicitor and my friend Kate HUGGINS of 'Norwood' Saint Paul's Road Walton Highway in the County of Norfolk to be the Executors And Trustees hereof (hereinafter called 'my Trrustees') AND I DECLARE that any Executor or Trustee for the time being of this my Will being a Solicitor or other person engaged in any profession or business may charge retain or be paid all usual professional or other charges for business donone or transacted or transacted by him or his firm in relation to the trusts hereof and also his reasonable charges in addition to disbursements for all work and other business done and all time spent by him or his firm in connection with matters arising in the premises including matters which might or would have been attended to in person by a Trustee not being a Solicitor or other professional person but which such Trustee might reasonably require to be done by a Solicitor or other professional person.
    3. I GIVE the following pecuniary legacies free of duty
    (a) To my cousin Dorothy BENNETT of London Road Shenley in the County of Hertford the sum of FIFTY POUNDS
    (b) To the said Kate HUGGINS the sum of TEN POUNDS
    (c) To my niece Gladys Margaret SYLVESTER of 142 Victor Street Grimsby in the County of Lincoln the sum of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS
    4. I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH the residue of my estate of whatever nature and wheresover situate Unto my Trustees UPON TRUST to sell call in and convert into money such parts as do not at my death consist of money and after payment out of the proceeds of such sale calling in and conversion together with my ready money of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and death duties (if any) for my nephew Athol George REID absolutely But if the said Athol George REID should die in my lifetime then I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all my residuary estate as aforesaid unto my Trustees UPON TRUST to sell call in and convert into money such parts as do not consist of money and after payment out of the proceeds of such sale calling in and conversion together with my ready money of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and death duties (if any) for Audrey Margaret REID the daughter of my said nephew absolutely

    "This is a Codicil to the last Will of me Jessie Alice EDGOOSE which Will bears date the 24th day of June 1953.
    Whereas in my said Will I appointed as one of my Executors Kate HUGGINS Now I revoke this appointment and I appoint George DOUBLEDAY of 3 Lerowe Rd Wisbech to be an Executor and Trustee in her place to act jointly with Outram David Guy BARR.
    I revoke the pecuniary legacy of £ 10 given to the said Kate HUGGINS and I give a pecuniary legacy of £ 10 to the said George DOUBLEDAY.
    I also give the sum of £ 50 to Bertha Janet CURTIS of Belle Vue Sutton Road Wisbech aforesaid AND in all other respects I confirm my said Will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 22nd day of November 1955.
