Grace Ellen EDGOOSE was born at The Highway, West Walton, on 6 March 1907 and baptised at West Walton on 2 June 1907, daughter of John Lewin EDGOOSE, fruit grower's labourer, and his wife Ellen Jane EDGOOSE formerly BENNETT of West Walton, Norfolk. The informant on 11 April 1907 was her father J. L. EDGOOSE of The Highway, West Walton.

Grace Ellen HEWITT born EDGOOSE died at the General Hospital, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on 22 September 1978. The death certificate records that she was born on 6 March 1907 at West Walton, Cambridgeshire [sic]. She was described as the widow of Frederick Ernest HEWITT a smallholder. Her usual address was Glenville, King John Bank, Walpole St. Andrew, Wisbech. The informant on 25 September 1978 was her eldest daughter Jennifer Ann HAWKINS. Cause of death was I(a) Pulmonary Embolism I(b) Peritonitis I(c) Ruptured Ovarian Cyst and II Carcinoma of Ovary.

VALERIE GRACE HEWITT 1942-2007
Their daughter Valerie Grace HEWITT was born on 1 November 1942 at Walpole St. Andrews, Norfolk.
She married firstly JAMES F. JACKSON in June 1968.

Before leaving for the United States shortly after her mother died, Valerie Grace JACKSON spent a day or two at Michael James EDGOOSE's house in West Sussex copying some of his family records.
Her second marriage was to Richard Douglas HALL (1945-2025) at Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California, USA, on 1 November 1980. Her letters describe the conflict between the children of her first and second marriages.
She died on 30 July 2007.
