      Caroline Rainford ENSOR, daughter of James ENSOR and Elizabeth née RAINFORD, was born on 5 March 1811 and baptised at the Old Church, St. Pancras, Middlesex, on 3 April 1811.

      Caroline Rainford ENSOR of 41 Dorset Street aged 20 was buried at St. Mary-le-Bone, Middlesex. on 10 February 1831. There is a note in the margin of the register: "Removed by Faculty to Highgate Cemetery 15 July 1844".

      The inscription on the memorial in Highgate Cemetery reads: "To the Memory of Caroline Rainford Ensor, the beloved daughter of James and Elizabeth Ensor. Died 1st February 1831, aged 20 years."

      NOTES & QUERIES:
      It would be interesting to know who went to the great expense of obtaining a Faculty, exhuming her coffin, and reburying it in her parents' grave in Highgate Cemetery.
