EDGOOSE, Frederick James (1921-1988)
Frederick James, son of James and Daisy EDGOOSE of Swinton Cottages, Gosberton, Lincolnshire, was born on 15 July 1921 and baptised at Gosberton on 25 June 1922. His father was described as a farrier.

They had three children: a daughter born in 1947, a son Denis EDGOOSE (1950-1958), and a second son in 1954.
He witnessed the wedding of his daughter at Gosberton, Lincolnshire, on 21 October 1967 and was described as a Holland County Council employee.
In 1968 he was living at the Whitehall Estate, Gosberton.
DEATH CERTIFICATE
Frederick James EDGOOSE died on 28 May 1988 at Pilgrim Hospital, Fishtoft, Lincolnshire. He was an Engineer (Retired) who lived at Churchfleet Lane, Gosberton, Spalding. His son informed the Registrar on 31 May 1988.

(Ib) malnutricion from malabsorbtion - from Post-Mortem.

He was buried in Gosberton Cemetery. There is a gravestone.

Mr. F. J. EDGOOSE
A WELL-KNOWN resident of Gosberton, Mr Frederick James EDGOOSE, of 4 Churchfleet Lane, has died at the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, where he was a patient for just three days. He was 66, and had suffered an illness of three months.
A native of Gosberton, he was educated at the village school. He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs James EDGOOSE. A staunch member of St. Peter and Paul's Church, Gosberton, Mr EDGOOSE was for many years the crucifer and was a member of the church choir. He was also treasurer of the Gosberton town football club. He enjoyed gardening. A retired engineer, Mr EDGOOSE is survived by his wife, Mrs Freda EDGOOSE, to whom he had been married for 41 years, a daughter, and a son.
A funeral service was held at the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The Rev Tom WILLIAMSON officiated and Mrs Lucy BURTON was at the organ. Cremation was at Boston.
There were a large number of sympathisers in the church."
