  ALICE [EDEKOUS] née .......... 4 December 1329 Northampton This is the final concord made in the court of the lord king at Northampton, Monday after the feast of St. Andrew, in the 3rd year of the reign of king Edward the third from the Conquest, before Geoffrey le SCROP, Lambert de TRIKINGHAM, John de CANTEBRUGG, John RANDOLF, John de RADENHALE, Thomas de LOUTHE, justices in eyre there and other liegemen of the lord king then there present; between Robert de HOLEWELL, plaintiff, and Walter EDEKOUS of Great Creton and Alice his wife deforciants of 7s rent with appurtenances in Holewell, whereof a plea of covenant was summoned between them in the same court; namely, that the aforesaid Walter and Alice recognized the aforesaid rent with appurtenances together with the homages and all the services of William le HAYWARD, Simon CANOUN and William LOTE and their heirs from all the tenements which they formerly held from the aforesaid Walter and Alice in the aforesaid vill, to be the right of the said Robert, to have and to hohold to the aforesaid Robert and to his heirs, from the chief lords of that fee by the services that pertain to the aforesaid rent, for ever; and, moreover, the aforesaid Walter and Alice granted for themselves and for the heirs of the said Alicce that they shall warrant to the aforesaid Robert and to his heirs the aforesaid rent with appurtenances as is aforesaid against all men, for ever; and for this recognizance, warrant, fine and concord the same Robert gave to the aforesaid Walter and Alice £10 of silver; and this concord was made in the presence of the aforesaid William le HAYWARD and William LOTE, agreeing to the same; and they did homage and fealty to the aforesaid Robert in the same court (Pedes Finium Northamptonshire 3 Edward III, PRO CP 25/1/176/72 29, translated from the original Latin) (09.04.2015)
