The Will of James MULLINDER (16??-1681) of Pinchbeck, husbandman, in which his friend John EDGOOSE (1649-1715) was named as executor of the will and guardian of his infant son Thomas MULLINDER:

"In the name of God Amen I James MULLINDER of Pinchbecke in the County of Lincolne Husbandman being sick and weake in Body but of perfit remembrance praised be God doe make and Ordaine this my last Will and Testant [sic] in Manner and forme followeing; First I bequeath my Soul unto God that gave it hopeing through meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ to receive a pardon of my Sinns and my Body to be Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter nominated
I give and unto Alice my Wife the sume of foure pound(e)s and Such things as She brought when I was pledded to her
I give unto Frances HODGKIN my kinswoman One feather bed and bed [illegible in fold of binding] all blanketts and C(?)erlid and the furniture there unto belonging [illegible in fold of binding] Chest at the same beds feet and all that is therein and one box bed One Cupboord in and one long table in the hall one brass pott [illegible in fold of binding] (g)reat brass pann :
It(e)m: I give unto my sonne Thomas MULLINDER an Infant all the rest of my goods of what (kin)d and nature the same be both quick and dead And my [illegible in fold of binding] and minde is that John EDGOOSE of Pinchbecke Shall have (the) governance and bringing up of my sonne Thomas MULLINDER untill he attaine to the age of foureteene yeares and then [illegible in fold of binding] account to my Said Sonne.
It(e)m I doe ordaine and (I ma)ke my Loveing friend John EDGOOSE Executor of this (my) last Will and Testant [sic] Unto him for his paynes (ther)ein I give ten Shillings besides all his charges and (ex)penses in relation to this my will;
