The Will of Mary BAVIN:
"I Mary BAVIN of Gedney in the County of Lincoln widdow being sick and weak of Body but of Sound and perfect Memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in Mannor and form following.
First. I do give my Soul unto Almighty God in in hopes of receiving paedon at his Mercifull Hands for all (my p)ast Sins that I have committed, that I may receive a joyfull Resurrection, as to my Worldly goods which God hath pleased to Blesse me Withall I dispose off as Followeth.
First of all. I do give unto my son Peter BAVIN one Shilling, onely, haveing been heretofore largely his Benefactor according to my Circumstances.
Lastly. I do give unto my daughter Frances BAVIN all that my Right in my Cottage House now standing on the Lords Waste in a Certain place called Gedney Broadgate, with all my Houshold Goods and Furniture, in, upon, & Belonging to the said premisses, and do make her my Whole and Sole Executrix and Administratrix, she paying all my Debts and Legacy, and decently bring my Body to the Ground.
This is my last will and Testament revokeing all other Wills heretofore made by me, I (sic) Witnesse I have hereunto set my hand and Seale this twenty first day of January. Anno 1744.
