Pauline was the daughter of Alice May and James William HALL, a retired farm labourer. She had been living at Fenhouses, Swineshead, and was an accountant's shorthand typist.
James Sylvan EDGOOSE was described as a journeyman butcher of 22 Churchfleet Lane, Gosberton. and incorrectly as the son of James EDGOOSE, deceased, a land worker. Witnesses were G. L. KIRK and F. RUMBELOW.

J. S. Edgoose is listed at 24 Laburnam Grove, Spalding, in Veal's Directory of Spalding (3rd edition ca. 1977).
He was described as a transport manager on the marriage certificate of his son John Sylvan EDGOOSE in August 1987.
James Sylvan EDGOOSE married Susan Elizabeth FOSTER at Spalding Register Office on 22 August 1987. He was described as a 44 year old divorced stores manager of 24 Quadring Road, Donington, Lincolnshire.
